A Delta 2 rocket launch took place at Cape Canaveral, FL, on Friday 25 September 2009 at 0820. The rocket is known as STSS Demo (Space Tracking & Surveillance System). Photos here were take at Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral. The park is 2.9 miles from the launch pad and is as close as the general public can get to a rocket launch in this hemisphere.
